What it is

AsphalTech Bonding Primer is the liquid polymer-modified bitumen binder at the heart of our pothole repairs. Brushed into a cleaned pothole before you fill it, it grips the surrounding surface and helps the patch bond — so your repair holds up longer under traffic.

You don't have to use it, but it's the difference between a quick fix and a repair that lasts.

How to use it
  1. Clean and prepare the pothole first — base and walls free of debris and standing water.
  2. Dilute 1 part primer to 4 parts water (1:4).
  3. Brush or spray onto the clean, prepared base and walls of the hole.
  4. Fill with AsphalTech cold asphalt straight away and compact.

Delivery: courier nationwide via Bob Go, dispatched from Johannesburg within 1–2 business days. Delivery cost is calculated at checkout on your order's weight and destination — you see the price before you pay. Typical delivery is 3–5 business days to main centres.

Free collection: 3/4 Coppel Road, Alrode South, Alberton — Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm. We'll email you when your order is packed and ready.

Returns: 7-day cooling-off on unused, unopened items in original sealed packaging. Opened, mixed or part-used product can't be returned unless faulty. Faulty or incorrect items are covered for 6 months under the CPA.

Damaged in transit? Don't use it — email photos to shop@polyroads.com within 48 hours and we'll sort out a replacement or refund with the courier.
